Course description
Aims of the course: Provide an introduction to the writing of scientific assignments.
Course programme
Objectives and global structure of a scientific assignment;
Preparation of scientific documentation;
Development of scientific analysis habits, namely using quantitative and qualitative methodologies for data collection and analysis;
Individual and group assignments using support software (e.g. EndNote, NVivo, SPSS, R).
Speaker/trainer
Rui Carreira is a collaborative new product-service (namely ICT based) systems’ development PhD Researcher involving users and other interested parties. He holds a PhD in Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing (2012) within the MIT – Portugal Program at the University of Porto. He is Coordinator of the degrees “Information Technology, Web and Multimedia” and “Multimedia Design and Digital Games” at Instituto Politécnico da Maia (IPMAIA).
Course fee and registration
Before 31 March: 265 €
After 1 April: 300€
1 May. (Fees include lunch at IPMAIA + one convivial dinner + 1 cultural activity)
